On the way to digital mortgage lending value assessment
Sparkasse Wittenberg is one of the leading financial institutions in the district of Wittenberg. Its business area extends across the entire region: more than 200 employees take care of their customers’ financial matters and support them in achieving their individual goals.
For its real estate business, Sparkasse Wittenberg has relied on on-geo products since 2024. In the interview, property surveyor Volker Langenbrink explains the advantages that Lora in particular offers for the Sparkasse banks and their customers.
In the past we have always promoted the fact that almost all Sparkasse banks use Lora. Sparkasse Wittenberg has recently become a new on-geo customer. Only a handful of Sparkasse banks are now missing before reaching 100%. What prompted you to engage with Lora at this moment?
We wanted to place our mortgage lending value assessments on a new footing and benefit from the experience of other Sparkasse banks. Lora was the natural choice, as neighbouring Sparkasse banks reported positive experiences.
Were you aware in advance of on-geo’s product portfolio and the process optimisation options we offer, or did you allow yourself to be surprised?
We informed ourselves about the product portfolio beforehand and already had clear ideas about the process. After the first joint meeting with a representative of on-geo, we were confident that our expectations regarding the integration of Lora in particular could be realised.
You already use numerous products from our Lora range as well as inspection services. After this short time, is there already one product that stands out for you and that you would perhaps recommend to other institutions in the Sparkasse Group?
The inspection services outside our business area in particular are an enormous relief for us. But we are also very satisfied with Lora Mobile for internal inspections.
Final question: if you could wish for one thing from on-geo that would further simplify your daily work or solve existing problems, what would it be?
It is still too early for us to give a definitive answer. In general, however, we welcome any development that reduces the time required to prepare a valuation report.
